How ClearCorrect works

Imagine being able to enjoy an apple without slicing it into small pieces or enjoying popcorn without it getting stuck in your brackets! ClearCorrect clear aligners invisibly straighten your teeth over time using medical-grade plastic. These trays can be removed for eating and cleaning and make the orthodontic process more comfortable for patients because there are no wires, brackets, or elastics to worry about. Here’s what you can expect:

Step 1

Dr. Lesueur will begin your treatment by taking fast 3D digital scans of your teeth. Using these scans, he will map out a fully customized treatment plan to meet your unique needs and goals. This treatment plan will show how many aligners you need to complete your treatment and achieve your desired results.

Step 2

We will send your treatment plan to a dental lab to fabricate a series of customized aligners that will gradually shift your teeth into the correct position. Once your aligners are ready, you will return to our office for a fitting. Dr. Lesueur will check your aligners to ensure optimal comfort and fit. Treatment begins as soon as you put in your first aligner!

Step 3

You will receive a series of trays with specific instructions for wear, usually 2-3 weeks per tray. Wear your aligners 20-22 hours a day. Be sure to schedule a check-in with Dr. Lesueur every 6-8 weeks to check your progress and pick up your next set of aligners. With consistent use, your teeth straighten will begin to straighten right before your eyes within just a few months!

Pre-Sedation Instructions

‍To ensure your safety and the effectiveness of IV sedation, Lesueur Family Dental provides the following pre-sedation instructions:
‍
- Fasting: Refrain from eating or drinking (including water) for at least 6 hours before your appointment.
- Medications: Inform us of all medications and supplements you are taking. Some may need to be adjusted or avoided before sedation.
- Clothing: Wear loose, comfortable clothing to your appointment, with sleeves that can be easily rolled up to allow access for the IV.
- Transportation: Arrange for a responsible adult to drive you to and from your appointment, as you will not be able to drive after sedation.
- Health Changes: Notify us if there are any changes in your health or if you develop symptoms like a cold or fever before your procedure.

‍Post-Sedation Instructions

After undergoing a procedure with IV sedation, follow these post-sedation instructions for a smooth recovery:

- Rest: Plan to rest for the remainder of the day. Avoid strenuous activities and make no important decisions for 24 hours.
- Diet: Start with clear liquids and gradually progress to more solid foods as you feel comfortable. Avoid hot beverages until the numbness wears off.
- Medications: Take any prescribed medications as directed. Avoid alcohol and other sedatives unless approved by Dr. Leseuer.
- Observation: Have someone stay with you for a few hours after returning home to ensure your safety.
- Side Effects: Mild nausea or drowsiness is normal. Contact us if you experience prolonged or severe symptoms.
