For most patients, yes. Preventive visits, such as checkups, cleanings, and X-rays, are typically covered 100% by your dental insurance plan. That means you won’t pay anything out of pocket. However, periodontal cleanings (commonly known as “deep cleanings”) to help treat gum disease are not considered regular preventive cleanings and may only be covered in part by your insurance. We will confirm your dental benefits and help you understand the benefits you’re owed during your visit.
